Eden Island is a Marina Development consisting of a commercial centre (with shops, bars and restaurants) and 470 residential units:
· 1 to 3-bedrooms apartments
· 2 to 4-bedrooms maisons (Semi-detached duplex townhouses), and
· Luxury 2 to 6-bedrooms free-standing villas
Each unit comes with a mooring for a boat, as well as a Golf Cart for you to get around Eden Island. The residents will have exclusive use of a club house (with bar, restaurant and sport facilities) and of 4 private beaches spread along the island.
You can find more information on our website http://www.edenisland.sc/ (including the plans for the properties).
If you have purchased a property on Eden Island, you automatically qualify to apply to the Seychelles Government for a residency permit. (Up to 6 families per property qualify for Residency)
Should you decide to rent out your property, a dedicated rental facility will be created by the development company and will market internationally the properties from Eden Island available for rent. It will also provide all services needed.
The development is well under way. The bridge from Mahé to Eden Island, as well as the first building on the island, Eden House (sales office and show apartment), were officially opened in August 2006. The first 4 Apartments blocks have already been completed, and transferred, as well as the Maisons in Peninsula 3. Completion of the following phases will happen periodically over the next 4 years. Eden Island is located on the East coast of Mahé’, opposite the Wharf Hotel, 10 minutes from the International Airport, and 5 minutes from the capital, Victoria.
In terms of direction, the Seychelles is approximately 2deg South of the Equator. The Seychelles has a tropical climate, with an average temperature between 25 and 30degC.
The developers are in the process of finalising the 2nd phase, a further 150 properties, which we hope to launch in September this year, at which stage I will have more information for you.
